Terry Hayden Rittenhouse, 48 of Dallas, was jailed in Rome over the weekend after police said he was found trafficking large amount on meth at the intersection of North Broad and Calhoun Avenue.
Reports said that police found over 28 grams of meth as well as drug related objects,
Reports added that Rittenhouse then proceeded to flee the scene in an effort to avoid being arrested.
After being taken into custody he was later found with additional drugs at the Floyd County Jail.
Rittenhouse is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking meth, possession of drug related objects, obstruction and crossing the guard line with drugs.
A second person, Courtney Diane Franks, 38 of Lindale, was also arrested at the scene after being found with meth.
Franks is charged with possession of meth and possession of drug related objects.
