Randy Shane Hornbucke, 44 of Cartersville, was jailed in Rome after police said they saw him racing down Highway 20 near Salem Drive.
Reports said that Hornsbuckle was driving recklessly while placing others life in jeopardy.
Hornsbuckle is charged with racing and reckless driving.
