Jimmy Hunter, 40, of Rome was arrested this week after attempting to lie to police about his identity.
According to police, Hunter gave officers a false name. His identity was discovered when officers used a fingerprint scanner on him and it was found that he had an active warrant for his arrest.
During a pat-down, while being taken into custody, Hunter was found to be in possession of a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue, methamphetamine, and marijuana. During the arrest, he continuously pulled away from officers making it difficult to place him into custody.
Hunter is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, giving a false name, obstruction of law enforcement officers, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug-related objects.
