Courtney Shelp, 19, of Rome was arrested this week after attempting to start a physical altercation in the middle of a roadway.
According to police, on October 15, 2018, Shelp began attempting to punch the 20-year-old male victim and was acting very violent towards him. This altercation took place in the middle of Dean Avenue causing traffic to come to a complete stop.
When officers arrived that found that Shelp had not been reporting to her probation officer and had failed to pay her court fees as directed.
Shelp is charged with felony probation violation, misdemeanor probation violation, affray, and disorderly conduct.
