Johnny Cole, 40, of Rockmart was arrested this week for being in possession of drugs and attempting to dispose of evidence.

According to police reports, during a traffic stop, Cole attempted to flee from police on foot and dispose of evidence.

Cole was allegedly found with two needles in his jacket pocket that contained methamphetamine. Upon search of his vehicle, various phone numbers were found along with Q-tips, a digital scale, and a bag filled with hypodermic needles.

The evidence that Cole attempted to dispose of was methamphetamine, marijuana, and blue pills that were Benzodiazepines.

Cole is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to distribute, felony possession of a schedule IV drug, felony tampering with evidence, possession of less than an ounce marijuana, obstruction, and possession of drug-related objects.
