Reginald Demetrius Chatman, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he abandoned a bag of drugs at the Sonoco store on Maple Street.
Reports added that methamphetamine, marijuana and Xanax were found side the bag.
Chatman is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, abandonment of dangerous drugs and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
