Bartow Counry authorities confirmed that a Hiapanic male, identified as 17-year-old Sergio Cadenas of Dallas,went under water and never surfaced in the Etowah River adjacent to Old River Road between State Route 293 and Joe Frank Harris Parkway by the railroad trestle bridge Tuesday afternoon.
At around 3:45, Georgia Department of Natural Resources personnel recovered the body approximately 200 to 300 yards down the river from where he was last seen.
