Michael Sean Helms, 32 of Rome, was arrested Tuesday after police said he punched his girlfriend in the face , resulting in bodily injury.
Reports added that Helms also left the victim with a cut to her lip.
The incident occurred back on June 12th at a home on Amelia Lane.
Helms is charged with battery and probation violation.
