The death was confirmed following a note on her parent’s webpage asking for assistance in medical expenses.

The Youcaring.com’s page reads “This contribution account was set up to help Anthony and Danielle Johnson.  Their family is living every parent’s nightmare and are in need of our love and support to get through.  Their four year old daughter, Lucia Margaret, had a near drowning accident Saturday, June 10, and is currently on life support in Atlanta, GA.  The family has no medical insurance so every contribution will help with the medical bills that are accumulating.”

Reports said that police were dispatched to a home on Quail Hollow just before 8 om Saturday.   Authorities said that when they arrived they found the child on the pool deck with family members performing CPR.

They added that the child had “blue lips and cheeks with very little color in her extremities.”

They said that it was determined that the child had been in the pool for five to 10 minutes.

Police added that there had been a cookout/pool party at the home and some adults were inside cleaning up while several teens were outside near a campfire. The girls told the officer they didn’t hear the child enter the water. Police also say the younger children had been told to wear “floaties” if in the pool. The victim was not wearing floaties although two pair were found near the picnic table.

The report said that there were no indications of criminal misconduct apparent at the scene.”
