Purshada Monique Hammond, 26 of Rome, is facing numerous felony and misdemeanor charges after she was allegedly found walking drunk in the road near East 2nd Avenue.
Reports said that Hammond was taken into custody after causing herself and drivers hazard. Police said that they conducted an Alcosensor test in which she blew a .093. They added that during the investigation Hammond became combative and started to use profane language in public.
Once at the jail, reports stated that Hammond damaged medical equipment while threatening to cause bodily harm to officers and deputies.
Reports continued that Hammond physically resisted officers and attempted to spit at two deputies.
Hammond is charged with six counts felony obstruction, six counts terroristic threats and acts, interference with government property, disorderly conduct, two counts of reckless conduct, public drunk and pedestrian walking on roadway.
