Anthony Jerome Fortner, 48 of Silver Creek, was arrested at his home on Wax Road after authorities said they found him to illegally possess a gun.
Reports said that police located a .22 caliber rifle on Tuesday.
Fortner is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
