Jeffery Arron Ingle, 21 of Rome, was arrested on Friday after reports stated he stole from a church in Shannon.
Reports stated that Ingle stole a sash from a cross in the front of the building. Authorities stated that Ingle was spotted getting the sash from the cross then place it around his neck before walking away.
Ingle is charged with theft by taking.
