Luke Charles Roberts, 27 of Rome, was arrested at the Pine Crest Motel on Martha Berry Highway, after he was accused of hitting a woman in the face with his fist.
Reports added that the alleged acts occurred in front of a small child.
Roberts is charged with simple battery and cruelty to children
