After further investigation of the shooting on Bert Rd December 22, 2017; 3 more charges have been added to Clarence McCluskey also of 347 Bert Rd: 1 count Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime and 1 count of Terroristic Threats and Acts (all felonies).
Clarence McCluskey, 57 of Rome, was arrested over the weekend after police said he shot and killed his wife during an altercation at their Bert Road home.
Reports said that authorities found 54 year-old Lisa McCluskey lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to her head.
Investigators said that alcohol played a factor in the shooting.
They added that they located a .20 gauge shotgun with a loaded shell lying near the victim. They also recovered a .25 caliber handgun that was believed to be the murder weapon.
McCluskey is charged with felony murder.
