Adrian Rashad Huggins, 35 of Lindale, was arrested over the weekend after being accused of hitting an underage special needs child in the face in front of two other children.
Reports stated that the victim suffers from autism.
Reports added that he then attempted to prevent someone from calling 911 for help.
Huggins is charged with cruelty to children in the first degree, obstructing a person making an emergency call, three count of criminal trespass, two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree and simple battery.
