Arthur Tremaine Adams, 43 of Rome, is facing numerous charges after reports said he brought drugs into the Floyd County Jail.
Reports stated that he was arrested after a car he was in was pulled on Callier springs Road for being in a vehicle with a break light out. Reports stated that he was wanted on a probation violation.
Reports stated that a search of Adams uncovered a pipe with suspected drug residue and a small plastic bag containing “a hard yellow substance.”
Adams told police that the substance was peanut brittle he had found on the ground earlier in the day.
He is charged with crossing a guard line with drugs, possession of drug related objects and probation violation.
