A Rome man arrested over the weekend, David Ray Jasman, 36, is now facing additional charges after discovering he gave a fake name to an officer for a traffic ticket.
Reports stated that Jasman was pulled over by police on June 22 for driving recklessly and spinning his car tires at the corner of Shorter Avenue and Huffaker Road.
Authorities said that Jasman gave the officer the driver’s license of another man and signed the citation with his name. It wasn’t until later that Police later discovered Jasman was driving on a suspended license.
He is charged with first degree forgery, giving a false name to law enforcement, driing on suspended license, laying drag, false statements and writings.
He was first arrested over the weekend on charges of simple assault, possession of drug related objects, driving without a license and possession of meth.
