Meredith Bernard Montgomery, 53 of Rome, was arrested at a home on Ross Street Thursday for allegedly shooting another man with a pellet gun.
Reports said that the victim was struck by a bullet near his eye, which required medical attention.
Montgomery was charged with aggravated assault.
