Mr. Chris Wayne Hayes, age 55, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Hayes was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 10, 1960, son of Linda Lucille East Hayes and the late Frank Wayne Hayes. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Diane Cain. Mr. Hayes was of the Baptist faith and worked for a number of years at Lindale Manufacturing until it closed and then as an IT Programmer.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Throneberry Hayes; a son, Kellen Churchill and his wife, Heather, Rome; a daughter, Jennifer Nicole Clemons, Rome; a granddaughter, Kaylyn Churchill; his mother, Linda Hayes and her companion, Wallace Youngblood, Cedartown; two brothers, Jamie Bruce Hayes and his wife, Kim, Cedartown, and Brian Keith Hayes, Rome; a sister, Frances Ann Trammell, West Palm Beach, FL; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 1pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Baedron Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 12 noon until the service time. At other hours, they will be at their respective residences.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 12:30pm and include: Active: Chason Dallas, Eric Limon, James Starr and Vincent Ward. Honorary: Brian Keith Hayes, II.
