Tariq Rakim Zekiah Cooper, 18 of Rome, was arrested this week outside a home on West 11th Street after a witness said he parked in the driveway of a home, concealed his face with a bandana and proceeded to hide in bushes with a shotgun.

Reports said that when officers arrived Copper ran up the driveway before walking back down to speak with the officer.

Cooper told allegedly told police that he was waiting on a friend and ran from the officer because he had driven his sister’s car without a license.

A search of the area uncovered a 12 gauge shotgun that was hidden where Cooper had been.  The red bandana, hoodie and gloves that he was spotted wearing were also found in his back pocket.

Cooper was charged with wearing a mask, hood or device that conceals the identity of the wearer, driving without license, loitering or prowling, criminal trespass, obstruction of officers and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
