Chattooga County authorities have arrested and charged 26 year-old Tommy Lee Wilson Jr in connection with the robbery of TJ’s Liquor Store. Reports said that Wilson is charged with Party to a Crime/Armed Robbery, Possession of a Sawed-off Shotgun, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act/Meth, Possession of Marijuana (less than one ounce), and Possession of Drug-related Objects.
Authorities said that after they were notified of Wilson’s alleged involvement they went to his Summerville home and located the vehicle used in the January 26, 2016 robbery.
A search of the home uncovered numerous articles of clothing worn by 42 year old James Tyrone Carmichael of Rome during the robbery, plus other items associated with the crime.
Carmichael and another suspect, Jake Skuse, age 26 from Leesburg, Alabama were arrested January 31st at the Carousel Inn in Trion.
Both were charged with Armed Robbery and several other offenses. The investigation into the matter is on-going and Sheriff Schrader says additional arrests are expected.
