Jacob Lamar Thompson, 29 of Lindale, was arrested on Monday after police found a 9mm handgun under his seat during a traffic stop. Reports said that Thompson, a convicted felon, was pulled over at the intersection of Dean Street and East 19th Street for not wearing his seat belt.
Reports added that during the traffic stop police were notified that there was an active warrant for Thompson’s arrest. After searching the car they allegedly found the pistol.
Thompson is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
