Juan Monte Elder, 48 of Rome, was arrested over the weekend at a home on Sherwood Drive after police found him hiding in a shed that was his. Reports added that earlier on the day Elder was found crawling around under a home on South Hughes Street without permission.
Police said that they also found a syringe with a controlled substance in it on Elder.
He is charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and two counts of criminal trespass.
