According to Cherokee County, AL, Sheriff Jeff Shaver deputies and investigators executed a search warrant in the Mud Creek community last week, and as a result arrested Mark Anthony Babb, 44, of Silver Creek, Georgia.
Investigators received information Babb was in possession of methamphetamine at a residence on County Road 803. After a short investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed. Investigators seized approximately one-half ounce of methamphetamine. Babb is charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to distribute.
Sheriff Shaver expressed his appreciation to the Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force for their assistance in the case, and stated he appreciates the cooperation between Georgia law enforcement and Sheriff’s Office investigators.
