Thanks to a donation from Kimoto Tech, the Cedartown Humane Society will be moving into a new building. The company recently donated three acres of land near the interaction of Canal Street and Second Street. The proposed new shelter is expected to cost close to $3.5 million. Officials said that they are hoping to get monetary support from local foundations, businesses and individuals.

They added that they are expecting the new building to be completed within three years.

The proposed shelter would be close to 10,000 square feet and be able to accommodate 75 dogs and 50 cats at any moment. In addition to kennels, it would also include a clinic, bathing and adoption areas.
