Mrs. Debbie Elaine Neighbors, age 67, of Rome

Mrs. Debbie Elaine Neighbors, age 67, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Neighbors was born in Rome, Georgia on June 26, 1959, daughter of the late George M. Jackson and the late Lorine Sutherland Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Calvin Neighbors. Mrs. Neighbors worked as the HR Manager for Northwest Georgia Regional Health District. She was a faithful member of East Rome Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Lee Neighbors, to whom she was married on March 4, 1978; three children, Autumn Neighbors Eads, Jonathan Neighbors, and Amanda Harker (Josh); four grandsons, Will & Drew Eads and Tripp & Bennett Harker; a sister, Vickie Masters (Steve); her mother-in-law, Marie Neighbors; a sister-in-law, Lisa Dudley (Todd); two nieces, Christian Marcum (Deryck) and Chelsey Masters (Derrick Daniel); a nephew, Blake Dudley (Courtney); several other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 12pm at East Rome Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Snapp and Dr. Jerry Dudley officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at East Rome Baptist Church on Friday from 10am until 11:45am.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the church on Friday at 11:30am and include Steve Snow, James Pilgrim, Tim Dudley, Josh Harker, Todd Dudley, and Blake Dudley.
