Mr. Charlie Edwards, Jr., age 86, of Cedartown, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday October 29, 2026.
Mr. Edwards was born in Polk County, GA, February 10, 1940, the son of the late Charles Edwards, Sr. and the late Bernice Gaston Edwards. Mr. Edwards found joy in the simple parts of life, especially spending time outdoors, gardening, and spending time at his pond. A fabricator by trade and by hobby, he was extremely gifted both at work and at home. His true calling was and joy was as a farmer, a trade which he cherished all the days of his life. Mr. Edwards will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by all of his siblings, Lewis, Roy, Chester, Hazel, Montez, Francis, Mary, and Lois.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his loving son, Wyatt Leon Edwards; granddaughter, Rachael Kerstin Lyn Edwards; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Edwards will be conducted Sunday November 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Hunter Marchbanks officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Lester J. Lindsey, IV, Lane Kaleb Lindsey, Jackson Lindsey, Kenneth Cordell, and Jacob Harbin.
