Darius Mackenzie McCoy, 33 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he ran from police while they were attempting to take him into custody for a probation violation.
Officers said that McCoy ran from the living room to the back of an apartment while refusing to come out after being given multiple commands to do so.
Police added that McCoy violated his probation when he was jailed for DUI in Haralson County last September.
McCoy is charged with obstruction of police and probation violation.
