Kingston residents will have an opportunity to weigh in this week on a proposed annexation involving property associated with a planned data center, with several public meetings scheduled at Kingston City Hall.
The first meeting is set for Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m., when the Unified Zoning Board will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed annexation of the property.
The hearing will take place at Kingston City Hall, located at 30 West Main Street.
Two additional meetings are scheduled later this month and in early November as the city considers the proposal.
The upcoming meetings include:
- Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. — Unified Zoning Board public hearing on the proposed annexation.
- Monday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. — City Council public hearing.
- Monday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. — Second reading and consideration of final action.
All three meetings are scheduled to take place at Kingston City Hall.
Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the public process, whether they support the proposal, oppose it or want additional information before forming an opinion.
The city’s public hearing notice and additional meeting information are available on the City of Kingston’s official website.
