Joyce Estelle Clark, age 79, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Born on July 20, 1947, in Rome, Georgia, Joyce was the daughter of the late Ralph Magnicheri Sr. and Annie May Johnston Magnicheri. She grew up in Celanese Village in Rome, GA, where she spent her childhood and attended Model High School. Rome remained home throughout her life, a place where she would raise her family, build lasting friendships, and create countless memories.
Joyce was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family. She dedicated more than 20 years of her life to working at Marglen before retiring. Her faith and church community also held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the friendships and fellowship she shared at Riverside Baptist Church.
Joyce’s life was not measured simply by the years she lived, but by the people she loved, the family she raised, and the memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave will continue through the generations of her family.
She is survived by her loving companion, Jerre White; her son, Danny A. Williams (Mona Williams); her daughters, Barbara A. Rice (Tim Rice) and Denice Maddox (Jim Maddox); and her grandchildren, Jordan D. Rice, Jonathan L. Rice, Jacob T. Rice, Melissa D. Free, Jessica L. Hammes, Halle J. Williams, Jimmy M. Maddox, Sarah J. Maddox, Cole L. Maddox, and Shailyn F. Maddox. She also leaves behind six precious great-grandchildren and her brother, Ralph Magnicheri Jr., along with extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie E. Clark, and her sisters, Dorothy Stansell and Nettie McElwee.
