Rome Man Jailed for Destroying Home, Cause Mental Pain to Victim and Children

Michael Andrew Cook, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he destroyed and damaged a home on Alfred Avenue in Lindale.

Reports stated that Cook damaged the home’s door, window, screen and curtain while entering the residence.

Police added that the victim along with two children were inside the home.  Officers reported that the victims suffered “excessive mental pain and distress”.

Cook is charged with felony obstruction, criminal trespass, 1^st degree cruelty to children, criminal trespass, felony interfering with government property and 2^nd degree criminal damage to property.
