Mrs. Lindy Sue Martin Brumbelow, age 90, of Garden Lake

Mrs. Lindy Sue Martin Brumbelow, age 90, of Garden Lakes, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 28, 2026.

       Mrs. Brumbelow was born in Piedmont, Alabama, on March 5, 1936, daughter of the late J.C. Martin and the late Gladys Mae Hart Martin. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Atkins, Charles Martin, and Shirley Reece. She was a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church.

       Mrs. Brumbelow began her working career at Kress. In July of 1954 she started working at Bell South Communications where she worked until her retirement after 42 years of dedicated service. After her retirement, worked for 16 years at Southern Interiors and she volunteered in the gift shop at Floyd Medical Center for 25 years.

       Survivors include her daughter, Tyna Hobbs; several grandchildren; her brother, Arthur “Bunk” Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.

       Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 1:30pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with the Rev. Clyde Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

       The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.
