Jeffrey Allen Hughes III, 19 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs after skipping out of paying for his taxi ride.
Police said that Hughes took a taxi ride from Lindale to Rome and refused to pay his $30 service fee. Officers said that when they located Hughes, he was in possession of a red mushroom shaped pill that he called a “magic mushroom”.
Hughes is charged with theft of services and possession of a controlled substance.
