An inmate at the Floyd County Prison, Caleb Antonio Whitaker, 19 of Grayson, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after reports said he assaulted another inmate.
Reports said that Whitaker used a lock tied to a string as a weapon as he struck the victim, a 45 year-old man inmate, about the head and bodily multiple times.
Authorities stated that the inmate suffered significant injury to his head.
Whitaker is charged with aggravated assault.
