Mark Thomas Scoffield, 42 of Aragon, was arrested in Rome after reports said he stalked an burglarized a woman’s home on Howell Street.
Reports stated that Scoffield violated a court order to not have contact with the victim when he went to her home and burglarized it.
Police added that Scoffield intentionally struck the victim in the face, causing visible bodily harm.
Scoffield is charged with first degree burglary, battery, and aggravated stalking.
