Kimberlie Kay Edwards, 61 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she helped hide a wanted fugitive.
Reports did not list the fugitive’s identity, but said that she has been wanted out of Chattooga County for the past three years.
Police said that Edwards hide a woman from authorities inside a camper at her home on Fosters Mill Road. Police said that they found the wanted woman hiding in a shower inside the camper.
Edwards is charged with aiding another to escape lawful custody.
