Clory Rochelle Beane, 41 of Trion, has been arrested following a domestic dispute in Trion in which police say she intentionally struck her husband with a vehicle.
According to the Trion Police Department, officers responded to a home on Walnut Street after receiving a report that a woman had hit a man with a car before both went inside the residence.
When officers arrived, they made contact with Clory Rochelle Beane and her 59 year-old husband. Police reported that the victim initially claimed he had fallen while working on his boat. However, officers said they observed injuries that they believed were inconsistent with that explanation, including what appeared to be road rash on his back and a large bruise on his hip. Officers also noted witnesses reported seeing him struck by a vehicle.
According to the incident report, the victim eventually acknowledged the couple had been arguing over a text message, but declined to provide additional details to investigators. The victim told police that Beane was “nice when she is not on meth, but acts crazy when she is”. Police wrote that they believed he appeared fearful of his wife during the investigation.
As officers informed Clory Beane she was under arrest for aggravated assault, police said she became loud and combative, resisted being handcuffed, repeatedly fell to the floor while exposing her nude body, kicked objects, and banged her head on the floor.
Clory Rochelle Beane was charged with aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, reckless driving, and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
