Laura Delane Lynch, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she snuck drugs to her child while he was an inmate at the Youth Detention Center.
Reports said that Lynch was heard on a recorded call being asked to bring him an item (500 MG labeled “hybrid jelly, high potent THCP”) during visitation.
Authorities added that Lynch then gave the item to her child, which was later found to be a tan in color gummy. The gummy has been sent to the GBI for identification.
Lynch is charged with unlawful person to give a youth at a detention enter a prohibited item.
