Amaury Shakur Redwine, 24, of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he discharged a firearm inside a home on Garden Avenue in Lindale, causing significant damage to the residence.
According to reports, Redwine allegedly fired the weapon while five people, including a juvenile, were inside the home.
Police said Redwine then exited the residence and continued firing the gun in the direction of the home.
Investigators reportedly determined that the shooting caused extensive damage to the residence. Officers also located a video on Redwine’s social media account that allegedly showed him around the time of the shooting.
Redwine, who police said is a convicted felon, was also wanted on a warrant stemming from a November incident on Callier Forrest. According to the warrant, Redwine was allegedly found inside a home at that location with two firearms.
Redwine is charged with five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage to property, discharging a firearm near a public roadway, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of probation violation.
