A 48-year-old Fairmount man is facing multiple felony charges following an alleged assault at a private residence on Scott Brown Road. According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Fairmount Police officers were dispatched to the residence on Aug. 8, 2026, after receiving a 911 report of an assault in progress.
Deputies entered the home and quickly took the alleged aggressor, identified as Torie Nujuan McClain, 48, of Fairmount, into custody.
Authorities said McClain had sustained injuries after a family member intervened in the alleged assault. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment. Deputies also requested medical assistance for the alleged victim.
According to investigators, McClain was nude when deputies arrested him.
McClain is expected to face charges of aggravated assault, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment.
