Amber Rose Douglas, 31 of Summerville, was arrested in Rome after reports said she was found in possession of drugs after she was spotting driving in the center turn lane on Martha Berry Blvd near Redmond Road.
Officers said that during the stop they located oxycodone pills and a plastic straw containing white residue in Douglas possession.
Police went on to say that while on the way to the jail, Douglas attempted to discard narcotics in an effort to hide from authorities.
Reports added that Douglas is also a wanted fugitive in Bay County, Florida.
Douglas is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, drugs not in original container, possession of drug related objects, tampering with evidence, turn lane violation, fugitive from justice and two counts probation violation.
