Andrew Virgil Akins, 69 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he intentionally broke his wife’s cellphone.
Reports stated that Atkins took the victim’s cellphone and proceeded to break it in half. The victim told police that Akins action caused her to fear for her safety.
Officers went on to say that when they arrived on the scene and asked for Akins ID he slammed the door on them and then proceeded to resist arrest.
Akins is charged with criminal trespass and obstruction.
