Tyrone Blackburn, 52 of Rome, was arrested following a struggle with police on Darlington Drive.
Reports said that Blackburn was being taken into custody on warrants for contempt of court when he refused to cooperate with officers. Police said that Blackburn refused to place his hands behind his back before feeling from officers on foot.
Reports said that Blackburn was wanted for being close to $70,000 behind on his child support.
Blackburn is charged with obstruction, four counts contempt of court and three counts probation violation.
