A convicted felon, Corey Cornelius Hightower, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of a firearm.
Reports said that Hightower was found with the firearm while trespassing at the former site of O’Neal Manufacturing Company on Anderson Street.
Hightower is charged with criminal trespass and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
