Polk County Georgia Fire Rescue has officially recognized ten members who completed the rigorous Fire Fighter I Bridge Certification Program, marking a major milestone in their service to the community. Over 180 hours of classroom instruction and hands‑on skills work, these firefighters strengthened their readiness for real‑world emergency response.
Their training schedule was no small feat: 4‑hour sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday evening, plus 8‑hour Saturday classes, all balanced alongside full‑time jobs, family commitments, and daily responsibilities.
Their perseverance earned them both State of Georgia and National Fire Fighter I Certification, meeting the NFPA Fire Fighter I standard.
