Jeffrey “Buddy” Michael Barnes, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026.
Buddy was born in Cook County, Illinois, on May 4, 1958, the son of the late Billy Barnes and the late Minnie Lee Sanders Barnes.
Buddy worked for the Cobb County School System as a master carpenter for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved spending time outdoors. A devoted son, father, brother, and friend, Buddy was known for his hardworking spirit, kind heart, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his partner, Pamela Diane Kisor Oaks; his sons, Shane Barnes, Jonathan Barnes, and Nicholas Barnes; his sister, Ann Lawhorn; one cherished grandchild; and a beloved extended family of relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) at Hebron Methodist Church Cemetery, 4445 County Road 113, Centre, Alabama, with the Rev. Ray Bowlin officiating.
