Colby Lynn Bevels, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he fought with police officers during a stop that saw him allegedly driving under the influence.
Reports said that officers stopped Bevels on the 200 block of Broad Street after failing to maintain his lane. During the stop, officers said that that discovered that Bevels had been drinking.
While taking him into custody, Bevels reportedly refused to place his hands behind his back before pulling away from officers.
Bevels is charged with DUI, obstruction and failure to maintain lane.
