Joseph Robert Bisher, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he sliced a dog up with a machete.
Reports said that Bisher caused a laceration to his dog “Oreo”. Officers said that when asked why he committed the act, Bisher said that he “did not want to hit his girlfriend, so he hit the dog.”
Police stated that the incident occurred in a room at the Seven Hills Inn on Martha Berry Blvd.
Bisher is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
