After being placed on paid administrative leave, Calhoun Police Cheif Tony Pyle has resigned.

An investigation by city officials regarding allegations made against Pyle has been completed without finding of any wrongdoing.

“Previously, certain allegations had been made regarding the Chief in the conduct of his duties,” Calhoun Attorney Brandon Bowen said. “The City Council caused an independent investigation to be made of those allegations, which resulted in a finding that the allegations were unsubstantiated or unfounded. The investigation has been closed.”
