Holland Tyler Bishop, 30 of Lyerly, was booked into the Floyd County Jail after reports said he exploited an elderly Rome man with stage 4 lung cancer out of money.
Police said that Bishop took and wrote a check belonging to the victim for his own use without permission. Police said that the check, written back in April 2024, was for $1,300.
Bishop is charged with exploitation of the elderly/disabled.
